Oh Soledad - A Musical Journey of Peace

Produced by Hopewell Junction’s own Dr. Ken Berry, “Oh Soledad” is the story of a woman who spends her life serving the people of Costa Rica during the turbulent times that follow World War II and through the Costa Rican Civil War.

Soledad successfully lobbies to free her sister and German-born Costa Rican husband from an internment camp, which brings her notable fame and honor and a bright anticipated future in Costa Rican affairs. When she is unexpectedly whisked away to America, she leaves these expectations behind, causing many conflicts in her family and her homeland. “Oh Soledad” follows her adventures away from and back to Costa Rica, where she fulfills her mission of service to her people.

Unlike the off-broadway performances in the City (through August 20), Curry Estate will feature a cabaret version of Soledad’s tale. Join us in the ballroom for a three-course dinner with entree selection, while enjoying the music, dance and drama of “Oh Soledad.”
